Pluvet
Pluvet is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Or and the area Burgundy.
Geography
Pluvet is located at semi distance between Genlis and Auxonne (capital of the Val of the Saone). To 25 km of Pluvet Dijon is (capital of the area of Burgundy). It is an agricultural village living mainly of the agriculture of the Oignon, it forms also part of the “cities dortoires” located at the neighborhoods of Dijon.
History
Pluvet organizes since the year 1984 a Fair of Onion each first weekend of September. Principal event of the village, this festival is organized in the honor of onion and it is a question during these two feastdays of electing a miss onion (and sometimes a mister onion). The weekend is punctuated many demonstrations and various contests.
