Attributes of the Pharaon

  • the cartridge: oblong form which protects the names from the Pharaon.

Caps

  • the Némés: cap striped vertically with sides falling down in front of each coast of the head;
  • the Pschent ( Skhemty ), together of two enchased crowns:
    • the white crown ( Hedjet ): crown south under the aegis of the god Seth,
    • the red crown ( Desheret ): crown north under the aegis of the god Horus;
  • the Atef: white crown with high feathers;
  • the Hemhem: formed diadem of three Atef S;
  • the Khepresh: blue helmet.

Accessories

  • the Uræus: cobra female which protects the king against his enemies;
  • the false Barb: reserved to the Pharaon (beard right) and to the gods (beard bent);
  • the tail of bull: trophy attached to the belt of the Pharaon to offer the power of the crowned animal to him.

Sceptres

  • the stick ( Heka ): who represents his divine magic power, Pharaon leads his people like the shepherd;
  • the flagellum ( Nékhekh ): symbol arms with protection;
  • the divine sceptre ( Ouas ): long cane at the fourchue end reserved to the gods;
  • the sceptre sekhem: in the shape of papyrus, reserved to the dignitaries;
  • the cross ânkh known as “cross of life”.

Amulets

  • the Pillar Djed: spinal column of Osiris, symbol of stability and resurrection;
  • the Node Tyt: symbol of Isis, always red because perhaps associated with the menstruations, symbol of Fruitfulness;
  • the Column Ouadj: green column papyriforme, agricultural symbol of fertility;
  • the eye oudjat: eye of Horus looked after by Thot, symbol of physical integrity;
  • the Scarab3ee: symbol of rebirth;
  • the vulture: hiéroglyphe " mère" , symbol of protection;
  • the Collar ousekh: very widespread jewel, which, in the form of amulet helps it dead to be delivered its obstacles;
  • the head of Snake: very widespread, but unknown function.
