Plural Vote
The plural vote is an alternative of the Vote for all. In this system, the Right to vote is granted to all the Citoyen S, but some of them are entitled to several voices. Generally, they are the holders of certain titles (Diplôme S) or those which exert certain functions (father) which will have several voices (what brings it closer to the Suffrage capacitaire).
In Belgium, the plural vote was used of 1894 with 1918, on proposal of Albert Nyssens, of the additional voices were granted there to certain people according to certain criteria, in fact the educational level and the state of father. It was replaced in 1919 by the introduction of the male vote for all.
The goal of the plural vote is to limit the impact of the Vote for all and to thus find a compromise between the partisans of the vote for all and in favor of the vote censitaire.
