Plum tree of Damas
The Prunier of Damas is a species of Fruit tree pertaining to the kind Prunus.
It gives plum S of blue color dark.
This species is source of discord between the Botaniste S. For the majority, it is about a subspecies of the European plum tree and they thus call it Prunus domestica VAr. insititia . For others, it is about a species with whole share: Prunus insititia .

History
The legend tells that the cross returning demolished of Damas in Syria, brought back a named variety Prunier of Damas. They then were criticized, by saying that they had gone it low " for prunes" , expression meaning " for large step chose" , even " for rien".Champlain and the fathers Récollets introduirent the plum tree of Damas in News-France with the XVIIe century. Its culture was spread in edge of the Fleuve the St. Lawrence and for this time the Mirabelle, the Reine-claude, the Damas crimson and the yellow Damas have been very popular there.
