Plougar is a common department of the Finistere, in the area Brittany, in France.

- It acts of the only léonarde commune not to be found by German during the second world war, indeed at the time the access roads to the commune were not very developed.
German was quite present at the borough of Plougar during this war.
In the vault of the cemetery was German prisoners. The " bonne" presbytery came to give them to eat.
