In a dozen years, the Forum became the element headlight of the rural world in Finistere. A great success which also draws from its success, of the mobilization of a whole population. History

Ploudaniel comes from Breton “the ploe” (parish) and from Daniel saint.

The parish of Ploudaniel belonged to the archidiaconé of concerning Kemenet-Ily évêché of Leon. It had like Trève S Saint-Méen and Trémaouézan. Originally it included its Trier and the parish of Trégarantec.

Following names are met: Ploudaniel (in 1310), Ploedaniel (about 1330 and in 1336), Plebs Danielis (in 1336), Guicdenyel (in 1528), Ploedaniel (in 1481)

Economic life

the Cooperative dairy of Ploudaniel is the parent company of the Even group. This Breton co-operative manufactures and markets in particular the marks Mamie Nova and Paysan Breton.
