Plouaret

Plouaret (into Breton, Plouared ) is a common , Chef-lieu of canton of the department of the Coast-with Armor, in the area Brittany, in France.

Geography

The city is located on the line of TGV Paris - Brest.

History

Administration

Level 3 of the charter " Ya rear brezhoneg" (yes with Breton) of the Office of the Breton Language was signed by the common in October 2007.

Culture

François-Marie Luzel and Anjela Duval, two recognized writers, is buried in Plouaret.

  • Anguipède, fantastic creature made up of a Horse, body of a siren assembled by human. The sculptor of Plouaret is called horse of Saint Matthieu by the inhabitants of Plouaret, owing to the fact that it was found in a field named Park march Min (the field of the stone horse) close to the hamlet of Mathieu Saint in Plouaret. The anguipède of Plouaret is female, rather rare characteristic.
