pleurisy The pleurisy is an acute or chronic ignition of the Plèvre, with or without épanchement. A pleurisy without épanchement is called pleurisy dries or pleurite . The name comes from plèvre of the Greek: πλευρόν ( coast, side ).

  • viral (Coxsackie)
  • bacterial (Tuberculosis, streptoccoque, pathogenic staphilococcus and other germs)
  • tumoral (Mesothelioma, pulmonary, metastasic)
  • metabolic or rheumatic
