This family of Amphibians Urodela was created by John Edward Gray (1800-1875) in 1850.
They are salamanders without Poumon S, at which breathing is done through the skin and of fabrics of the interior of the mouth.
It gathers two under-familles :

The surface of distribution of these salamanders extends from the extreme south of the Alaska and the Nova Scotia (Canada) in the east of the Brésil and the center of the Bolivia. Moreover, one species lives in Italy, and one in Korea.
