Plectrude (born towards 650 and died in 717), girl of Hugobert and Irmina d' Oeren, wife of Pip of Herstal, mayor of the palate of Austrasie. She resulted from a powerful family which had many grounds between Cologne and Trier.
She married towards 670/675 Pépin of Herstal known as Pépin the Large and gave him two children: Drogon and Grimoald . But this marriage did not prevent Pépin of Herstal from having for concubine Alpaïde de Bruyères and from this second union was born an illegitimate son, Charles Martel.

With the death of Pip of Herstal in 714, Plectrude seizes the capacity and ensures the supervision of the young king mérovingien Dagobert III and will prevent it from exerting a real political role. This last dies in 715 at the 16 years age.
