The living being is a being of needs. The pleasure is the generic name of the satisfaction of a physical, emotional or intellectual need or of the harmonious performance of a vital duty. The pleasure gets for the living being a pleasant and required feeling.
At the other end of the continuum of satisfaction, it is the displeasure (Malayan, dissatisfaction, nuisance…). The pleasure has a great number of synonyms which indicate more or less subtle differences in the experience of satisfaction
The pleasure is a concept employed in Philosophie and Psychologie. It is often associated with a word which qualifies it: sexual Pleasure, food pleasure.
In the Buddhism, the pleasure is a physical feeling; it is also one of the twenty-two faculties.
