They were held with Rome from September 18th to 25th 1960.

Practiced sports

Eight sports were programmed:

Athletics
Basketball in wheel chair
dartchery (mixture of darts and shooting to the arc)
Fencing in wheel chair
Swimming
Snooker (Billiards)
Table tennis
Shooting with the arc

Striking facts

Seuls took part of the sportsmen suffering from lesions in the spinal-cord.

These paralympic first Jeux proceeded in Rome, in the city where also did without the Olympic Games 1960.
