Plays of the British Empire and the Commonwealth 1954
The plays of the British Empire and the Commonwealth of 1954 took place with Vancouver in Colombia-British (Canada) of the July 30th to the August 7th 1954. They were the first plays since the name change of the plays of the British Empire took effect in 1952.
It was with these plays, that “The Miracle Mile” was run by Roger Bannister and John Landy in the Empire Stadium. For the first time, one (and even two) athletes will courai (in) T one mile in less than four minutes.
