Play of NASA

The play of NASA (in English, NASA Range ) is a roleplay used for the formation with the animation of teams ( Management ). The scenario is the following:

a space capsule was crushed on the the Moon at several days of walk of the base camp; the Astronaute S have a list of material which they must classify by the order of most important at least important, in the optics of a voyage to foot (in their combinations) towards the base camp: car-inflatable Inflatable dinghy, revolver and ammunition, reserves of air, water, syringes of drug…

The play proceeds in two parts: initially, the participants do each one individually their classification, then in the second time, they must discuss to establish a common classification.

At the conclusion of the play, one notes that the collective classification closer to the “official” classification is made by NASA than the individual classifications, which makes it possible to make become aware of the interest of team work. In addition, the phase of discussion, in general filmed, makes it possible to highlight the natural behaviors of the members of a group during a discussion, and stresses the importance to have a coordinator and an operating process accepted by all.

There exist alternatives of the scenario such that of a plane being crushed in the desert.
