Plate of Retord
The Plateau of Retord is located in the Département of Ain.
Culminating on average with 1000 meters, it is located between the Top Valromey (in the south), Bellegarde (in the North-East) and Nantua (in the North-West) and is delimited more precisely in north by the hamlet of Cuvéry (belonging to the commune of Châtillon-in-Michaille) and in the south by Hotonnes.
Vast space of meadow and forest, the Plate of Retord remains preserved human activity. One practices the ski touring there the winter (starting from the station of the Plans of Hotonnes) and the excursion the summer.
The Groupement of Public interest of the Plate of Retord takes care of the tourist management of the site.
