Plate of Panamá

The plate of Panamá is a microplaque tectonics of the Lithosphère of the Planet Ground. Its surface is of 0,006  74 Stéradian S. It is generally associated with the Caribbean Plaque.

It is located in Central America and covers the Isthme of Panamá.

The plate of Panamá is in contact with the plates Caribbean, of the the Andes of North, Nazca and the Cocos.

Its borders with the other plates are in particular formed of the Fosse of Central America on the peaceful coast of the Costa Rica.

The displacement of the plate of Panamá is done at a number of revolutions of 0,9069° per million years according to a pole eulérien located at 54°06' of Northern Latitude and 90°25' of Longitude Western (référentiel : peaceful Plate).
