Plate of Lannemezan
The plate of Lannemezan is plate south of the France where approximately 10.000 inhabitants live.
Geography
Located at the foot of the the Pyrenees in the department of the Hautes-Pyrénées in limit of the Haute-Garonne, it is located at a average Altitude of 510 meters.It bears the name of Lannemezan because the city of the same name is located almost at the center of this plate which is the source Gascon Rivière S (Gers, Save, Gimone, Baïse, the Arrats, Louge, Touch) all Affluent S of the the Garonne and the Bouès affluent of the basin of the Adour.
Geology
Composed of two thirds of waste lands and Sterile S, strewn with Wood, Coppice, cut Marsh S and of Moor S.The ground is of origin Calcaire with a layer of arable land not exceeding twenty centimetres. One exploits the Tourbe in the moor meadows of Barthe-with-Neste.
