Platalea regia

The royal spatula ( Platalea regia ) lives in the marshes of fresh water and salt water in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and accidentally in New Caledonia.

It is nourished by sweeping the water of its nozzle from one side to another. It flies with the neck in extension
