Plans is the fifth album of Death Cab for Cutie left the August 30th 2005 It was nominated for the 48e Grammy Award in the category Best Alternative Music album which took place on February 8th, 2006. Plans is a Disque of gold, having been past with more than 823.000 copies in the United States.

In 2006, DVD called has " Directions" left. It is in fact a Anthologie of 11 court-measurings inspired by the songs of Plans
