Plank (province)

The Frise ( Friesland in Dutch, Fryslân in clippings) is a bilingual province of the north of the Netherlands. The principal city is Leeuwarden (Ljouwert). In addition to the Dutch one speaks the clippings there (as in certain areas of Germany, the Saterland and in the extreme North-West of the the Schleswig-Holstein). The Plank is before a a whole agricultural province, but the Tourisme, mainly around the lakes of the south-west of the province and the islands of the Mer of Wadden, is an important source of incomes. The province is also known for its skaters speed and his winter circuit of the eleven cities ( Elfstedentocht ).

History
The Frise constituted a French department, of 1811 with 1814. Also, this area bears this name, because the Clippings, populates German antiquity, occupied the whole part of it.
Political life
The Fryske Nasjonale Partij represents the interests of the Friesian minority .
