Planetology

The planetology is the science of the study of the Planet S. the discipline recovers many branches of science; its field of study extends from the microscopic grains to the gas giant planets .

Research is generally done by combining the observations made on the ground, those carried out by experimental space engines and work or theoretical facts on Earth.

Planetology divides many interests with the Sciences of the Earth.

When the discipline concentrates on a celestial body in particular, a specialized term is used, as indicated below (only Héliologie , Géologie and Sélénologie is of everyday usage):
