What are Little Girls Made off? is an episode of the televised series Episodes of Star Trek , TOS, Saison 1 .

Synopsis

USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) is in approach of the planet Exo III to discover what it is occurred of Dr. Roger Korby whose last message goes back to five years. Two last forwardings failed to find all traces of him.

It is that it found refuge in caves built by the former inhabitants of this planet. Korby requires of Kirk to only go down because it made a great discovery and that a serious decision will undoubtedly be necessary. Kirk decides however to be accompanied by Christine Chapel, the promised in marriage ex of Korby.

On their arrival, at the entry of the caves, they do not find anybody, which wakes up the mistrust of Kirk.

Kirk ends up meeting Korby. After meeting again impassioned between Korby and C. Chapel, Brown, the weapon with the fist, prohibited Kirk from making contact by radio with Enterprise. Kirk shoots at Brown who proves to be a androïde.

Korby could conceive the androïdes Brown and Andréa with the assistance of Ruk. Ruk is the guard of the caves. It was conceived by the former inhabitants to maintain the machines. He has forgotten for how much centuries. These androïdes obeys only the orders of Korby. To perfect its demonstration, Korby places of Kirk force on a machine to make duplication of it. When Kirk understands that is to replace it with the command of Enterprise, at the time of seeing its reproduced psychic personality, Kirk with the idea to repeat a sentence with the address of Spock, to integrate it into the memory of its double.

Spock is surprised unexpected return of Kirk and even more surprised intends to tell him " You of your business, Mr. Spock occupy. I am tired of your interventions perpétuelles." … Spock understands immediately that something does not go, and takes the necessary measures.

On planet, Kirk truth questions then Ruk on what became “the Old ones”. Ruk acknowledges that they lived in the fear of these machines which they had build and who ended up being eliminated.

A brawl with Kirk reveals that Korby is actually him also a androïde… Korby the androïde tries to convince C. Chapel which it is still Korby and in front of its failure it commits suicide.

William Shatner (Kirk) embraces Sherry Jackson (Andrea) so hard that, when it is withdrawn abruptly, one can see that its lipstick is everywhere on its lips. You can as see as its lips are inflated very brutal kiss. In 1998, Sci-Fi Chanel (cable) diffused all the episodes of TOS in their complete format, with additional talks. They are called " Star Trek Insights" (" outlines of Trek" Star;). Decorations and Accessories

to evaluate the effectiveness of the costume and the make-up of Ruk, the producers made provisions so that Cassidy receives the visit of a tailor for man, dressed up like Ruk. Tailor, which thought that it returned visit to Gene Roddenberry, if was frightened by the intimidating character of Cassidy, that it was hardly coherent in his remarks. However, it finally recovered and Roddenberry ended up buying some pants.
On the other hand, the revealing costume of Andrea forever failed to start enthusiastic reactions when the actress put it at the time of a convention SF. It was approached by a great number of men, including Harlan Ellison, trying to obtain from it an appointment…
