Planet chtonienne
A planet chtonienne is the name suggested for a gas Géante whose atmosphere of Hélium and Hydrogène evaporated because of its proximity with its star. The resulting star is nothing any more but one rock or metal core resembling a telluric Planet under many aspects.
This category of planets was proposed after the discovery of Osiris of which the atmosphere is in the course of evaporation, even if it should not become such a planet in the near future.
Certain scientists suggested that Mercure could be a planet chtonienne, but this position is hardly accepted. Today no planet of this type is known and this class remains a theoretical concept.
