Planet-Crossing Asteroid Survey
The program Palomar Planet Crossing Asteroid Survey (PCAS) was launched by Eleanor F. Helin and Eugene Mr. Shoemaker in 1973. This program is at the origin of discovered several thousands of Astéroïde S of all types including one great number of asteroids géocroiseurs (English NEA), more than 200 objects having strong a Inclinaison, some asteroids having very unusual orbits and of 20 Comet S. PCAS continued during almost 25 years until June 1995. It is the immediate predecessor of the program Near Earth Asteroid Tracking (NEAT).
