Plan of Ayutla

The plane of Ayutla is an archeological site Maya describes by Peter Schmidt dice 1976, located in the sierra of lacandon more precisely at the north of Bonampak /lacanja, and at the south of the mar, El Cayo.

The site is ready for a possible opening with the public in the 2004. archeologist in load of the project, Luis Alberto Martos, known as to have discovered there largest Jeu of ball of the area (65 meters length, equipped with a marker), a temple was called in a pompeuse way `temple of the inscriptions' because an external wall carries the vestige of a stuccoed text.

The acropolis was described by Tovalin in a report/ratio with INAH in 1982. A structure still carries a Maya vault on 4 floors. It is possible that Plan of Ayutla had a great geopolitical role with traditional under the name of zac tzi (white dog), but the assumption remains to be confirmed. in any case, its bonds with Piedras Negras (Guatemala) and Cayo are attested.
