Plain Provinces of Río of Plata

Provincias Unidas del Río of Plata (in French Plain Provinces of Río of Plata ) was the denomination used for the current territory of the Argentine, the Uruguay and the department Bolivia N of Tarija since the Revolution of May until the middle of the decade of 1830.

Name fell in disuse, being replaced by that of Argentinian Confédération , which it, refers only to the territory of the first of the three quoted countries, until 1861 roughly. Since then the name of Argentinian République is usual, although the Constitution of the Argentinian Nation admits three names like official names, employing in addition the term Nación Argentina ( the Argentinian Nation ) for the formation and the sanction of the laws.

The Argentine is continuity political, cultural and legal current of this Union.
