Place de la Bataille- of-Stalingrad

The place of Battle-of-Stalingrad is located in the XIX {{E}} district of Paris, in the Quartier of the Villette. It establishes the link between the X {{E}}, and the XIX {{E}} district S. It closes the Bassin of the Villette, and a lock allows the passage towards the Canal Saint Martin's day. It is on this place that is located the Rotonde of the Villette.

It was part of the Boulevard of the Villette until the local by-law of the July 7th 1945 which made of it the place of Stalingrad . It was re-elected in place of Battle-of-Stalingrad by a local by-law of the November 26th 1993.

It was completely refitted at the end of 2006 (repair of the grounds, lighting, given according to the fountain, etc).

On this place is the Rotonde of the Villette of the architect Claude Nicolas Ledoux.
