The place of Verdun is located in the downtown area of Pau. It has a North-South orientation.

Au, in a direction in west-east one way, is the street Antoine of Bayard. One goes down by the street Corisande towards the Place Gramont with his fountains and his arcades.
In the east, is the street of Liege, in a direction South-North in circulation.
Au northern of the place, the course Camou has a East-West direction. The street Michelet connects the place to the Exhibition site of Pau.
In the west, is the street of the maquis the Béarn, skirting the sports grounds of the Caserne Bernadotte.
The place is cut into two by the street Ambroise bordelongue, resistant.
The place of Verdun has a military connotation: it is skirted by the building of the Bernadotte barracks. In the south of the place a small enclosure with a monument of commemoration of the victims of the French wars is. Indeed, the place is located not far from the Cimetière of Pau, located behind the Bernadotte barracks. The statue accounts for three Poilu S of the Great War. The accesses north (Camou course) and is (street of Liege) place of Verdun are planted of Platanes and are ensablés what allows to the players Pétanque to come to share one moment with their amis ; competitions are sometimes organized there.
Along the Bernadotte barracks are sports grounds and adventure playground for the children.
Course Camou, one can contemplate the Château of Pau which takes shape on the the Pyrenees in backdrop.
