Place de Thorigny

The place of Thorigny is a place located in the 3 {{E}} district of Paris in the middle of the district of the Marsh.

History

Formed by the meeting of the streets Elzèvir, of the Royal Park, of the Pearl and Thorigny, this crossroads is thus named since 1838 because of the proximity of the street close to the same name. This small place become modern will be built following a decree of January 25th, 1971, downgrading a piece of way located between the streets of the Royal Park and of Thorigny.

Charles Perrault lived this place as from 1685.

Particular sites

The n°1 shelters the hotel Libéral Bunting, a time transformed into museum of the iron work and today a center of exposures of modern art.

With two steps the entry of the Musée Picasso and that of the Musée Cognacq-Jay is.
