Place at the rate/rhythm ( Babes in Arms in English) is a American Musical comedy of 1937 adapted in 1939 like Musical film. He tells the history of a group of teenagers who assemble a spectacle to avoid going to work in a farm. The music is of Richard Rodgers and the words are of Lorenz Hart.

Around film
The filmographic version joins together Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Charles Winninger, Guy Kibbee, June Preisser, Grace Beam and Betty Jaynes on a scenario of Jack McGowan, Kay Van Riper and Annalee Whitmore and a realization of Busby Berkeley. Turning begins the May 12th 1939 and finishes the July 18th 1939. The first of film will be presented the October 13rd 1939.The original script of Broadway is re-examined to conform to the standards of Hollywood. It describes a group of young people trying to set up a spectacle at Broadway to prove with their parents that they of it are able. This version adds several stories of love and various additional scenes.
The majority of the original songs of Rodgers and Hart are drawn aside, except for the opening and of " Where gold When ". Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown writes new titles for film, in particular " Good Morning " (which will become famous later in Singin' in the Rain) and " God' S Country " .
The original version of film includes a final scene during which the actors make fun of Franklin D. Roosevelt and of its wife. This scene will be withdrawn thereafter and only in 1990 will be restored.
The film was nominated for two Oscar of the cinema: the Oscar of the best actor for Rooney (19 years old at the time) and the Oscar of the best film music
