The place Bichon (in Dutch: Bichonplein ) is a place of Brussels of the common of Schaerbeek located at the crossroads formed by the Avenue Charles Gilisquet, the Rue Godefroid Guffens, the Rue Hubert Krains and the Clos Sunken lane.
The place was named thus in the honor of small a schaerbeekois, Bruno Hendrickx, called Bichon , which was a long time the Mascotte of the operation Télévie, demonstration collecting of the funds devoted to the medical research (in particular against the Leucémie and the Cancer). The small Bruno Hendrickx attended the very close school (Gilisquet avenue).
A Commemorative plaque is located in the middle of the place and carries the following text: During its long illness small the schaerbeekois, Bruno Hendrickx, known as Bichon showed a courage which caused the admiration of all. The Télévie operation chose this small shooting star to be its mascot. His/her comrades, its teachers and the schaerbeekois will have of him the memory moved by a little boy whose smile reflected its intelligence, its noble-heartedness and an exceptional courage.
