The place Benoit-Crisp is a place of Lyon.

Located in full Saint-Georges district, at the edge of the Saone (Old Lyon), it is in work for the construction of an underground car park. This one is now finished, but the installation of surface is not completed yet. During this work, there is there overdraft various objects, in particular three Gallo-Roman boats, preserved relatively well, dating from the I {{er}} or from the II {{E}} century. In the same way, during the digging of the tunnel of access to the carpark under the street Lavarenne, there is overdraft various buildings dating from the Middle Ages, apparently abandoned following the many risings of the the Saone. One also discovered there part of old the rampart, whose layout was unknown in this part of the city. The whole of the archaeological discoveries because a delay of work from 6 to 9 months.

This place is with the site of one of the many ports of the Saone, the Port of Sablet, which was destroyed, as well as the surrounding houses, to arrange the quay which one knows today.
