Plédran

Plédran ( Breton Pledran in ) is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Armor and the area Brittany. Its inhabitants is called Plédranais.

Geography

History

Commune of the district of St Brieuc, Plédran has very gravitational characteristics: an arranged wood and a campaign whose charm encourages with discovered of its rich and varied historical heritage: megaliths and legends, Gallo-Roman time, Viking, manors and castle, time of the revolution and chouannery etc (cf delivers " Plédran of the origins ànos jours" of P. Giauffret)

Gallic or former

1 Allée covered of the Camio Rock: 28 flagstones of support and 10 tables of covering, in the middle of a field, surrounded by secular oaks (classified since 1964).

2 Allée covered with the Germander: confused at the century spent with the preceding one because of their proximity. Recognition and statement carried out by the archaeological center of Péran.

3 Allée covered of the Glé City: with the entry of the borough (places says Madrieux), discovered during a clearing. Announced on April 5th, 1989 to the Regional Service of Archeology, by the archaeological center of Péran.

4 Menhir of the Spindle of Margot: 3.50m top, 5.20m of perimeter. An arranged way makes it possible to reach it. (Classified since 1965)

5 the Chéra Bridge: stone bridge with two arches spanning the Ballot box.

8 Vault Saint Nicolas of Craffault: 16th century, very beautiful carved door representing of the armorial bearings of the Craffault Lords; located in edge of road (Plédran - Saint-Julien)

9 Manor of Belleville: of XVIe at the 18th century (private).

10 Manor of Pesle Châtel: of XVe at the 17th century. Manor with turret surrounded by low walls, attic windows with pediments decorated with shells. Visible of the Plédran-Piruit road (private).

11 Manor of the Guinvray City: 17th century, beautiful attic windows with pediments, elegant chimney. Visitble of the road: the Meadows Bernard - Guinvray City (private).

12 Manor of the Menet Fountain: 17th century, attic windows with pediments and beautiful stone cornice of size. Visible of the communal way on the right on the road the Rock - Quertaux (private).

13 Vault of Hirel: small building of the 15th century, restored

14 Vault of Creac' H: possession of the templier since 1182, restored at the 17th century, and recently. Tomb stones (classified since 1926).

15 Cross Maurice Saint: only vestige of the vault and theater of a bloody event during the chouannery.
