Pitchpine

The pitchpine is a trade name used to indicate the Bois coming from various species and varieties of pine S of North America. This wood is employed in the manufacture of the Meuble S.

At the 20th century, this wood with the reputation to be imputrescible, this is why it enters the composition of the balneal villas, in particular with the Wood of Chaize with Noirmoutier. Woodwork S, Skirting, Trunk S of chimneys and even furniture in pitchpine decorates the Chalet S of the Estivant S. the owners find during the summer months their interiors in good state after the hard passage of the winter.
