In Data-processing, the pitch (or not of drilling ) is a characteristic of the screens of computer. It is about the distance between the three elements of Phosphore - red, green and blue - constituting an elementary point of the screen (a Pixel). This value indicates the smoothness of the image: the more reduced this distance is, the more the point is Net and larger is the Définition of screen.

The size of the screen and its not of drilling define the maximum Définition of screen which one can reach without loss of quality with regard to the image. The No mask, or Dowry-pitch, defines the number of points per inch physically attached to the screen.

Measurement is done on the diagonal spacing between two elements of the mask, except for the screens Trinitron for which measurement is done on the horizontal spacing between two elements of the grid ( Aperture Grill Pitch ). Thus the pitch must be less than or equal to 0,28 mm on the screens to mask, and less than or equal to 0,25 mm on the grid screens.
