Pissotte

Pissotte is a common French, located in the department of the the Vendée and the area Pays of the Loire.

Its inhabitants is called Pissotois.

Places and monuments

  • Especially known in the area for its vineyards (Vendean Strongholds), the village of Pissotte is one of oldest. The Rock of Luc Saint would have been its first site.
  • the river the Vendée which runs the village below saw very quickly the installation of water mills: the mills of Hook, Gachet and Sauvaget are always visible and are integrated now within frameworks enchanters. Further, the Tabarotte fountain is one of curiosities of the area. The source is known there from time immemorial, but a laundrette was arranged there at the XVIIIè century.
  • In the village and in the neighborhoods of very beautiful buildings, home, castles, testifies to the prosperity of this small commune: Groie, Small Groie, Lizardière, Saulzes, the Brunetière madness, the Castle of Poiron.
