Pisonia costata

The Pisonia costata is a Espèce of Arbre endemic of the Mascareignes and pertaining to Nyctaginaceae . With the Mauritius, one calls this species mapou , like the Pisonia grown .

It is a species being able to reach twelve meters in height. Its sheets from two to ten centimetres are opposite or verticillate at the end of the branches. The lower face of the young sheets is red chestnut pubescent.
