Pisidie

The Pisidie is an old area of the Asia Mineure, bordered in north by the Lycaonie, in the east by the Cilicie, in the south by the Pamphylie and in the west by the Phrygie.

Its limits are badly defined. Initially united in Pamphylie, it was separate at the 4th century to form two provinces distinct from the diocese of Asia. Selga and Baris was the principal cities, and Antioche de Pisidie, the capital.

It was évangélisée by the apostle Paul between 45 and 49.
