Pirmasens
Pirmasens is a German Ville and a district, located in the Land of the Rhineland-Palatinat, near the French border . The name of the city comes from Saint Pirmin, founder of the Abbaye of Hornbach.
History
The city is mentioned for the first time in 826 in the form Pirminiseusna , in the registers of the Abbaye of Hornbach. In 1763, the city is integrated into the county Hesse-Darmstadt by the Landgrave Louis IX and the city is attached to the France 1793 with 1815. The city is bombarded by the American on August 9th, 1944 and - second once - the March 15th 1945.
