Piotr Kolomin

Piotr Ivanovitch Kolomin was a fighter pilot and Soviet As of the Second world war, holder of the Ordre of Héros of the Soviet Union.

Career

Born the December 28th 1910 in the current town of Dimitrovgrad , it engaged in the Red Army in 1931 and was patented pilot in 1933 with the military college of the Air of Orenburg .

After having taken part in the War of Winter, in 1939 - 1940, against the Finland, it was in first line at the time of the German invasion E of June 1941. It had later, as a major (= Commander), to receive the command of the 162.IAP (= regiment of air hunting) and in 1945, named podpolkovnik (= Lieutenant-colonel) it fought within the 2nd face (= Groupe of armies) of Bielorussia.

It was to take its retirement in 1947.

Credited with 23 approved victories , of which 16 individual and 7 in co-operation , obtained during 326 missions and 75 aerial combats .

Hero of the Soviet Union the August 18th 1945;
2 times decorated with the Order of Lénine;

Order of Souvorov of 3rd class ;
2 times decorated with the Order of the Patriotic War;
2 times decorated with the Order of Red Star.
