Piotr M.A. Cywiński (born the April 16th 1972 with Warsaw) - historian medievist, president of the Club of Catholic Intelligentsia (KIK), director of the museum of Auschwitz.

Because of emigration of his/her father (Bohdan Cywiński, essaist and militant of the opposition in Poland), Piotr Cywiński lived in Suisse and France between 1982 and 1993. Its formation at the university of Strasbourg and the Catholic University of Lublin was enclosed by a thesis of doctorate on Bruno de Querfurt.

After having been vice-president of the Club of Catholic Intelligentsia since 1996, he became the president in 2000 about it. Since 2004, it directs the European fraction of the international association of the professionals and intellectual catholic Pax Romana .

In September 2006, after six years of work as a secretary of the international counsel of Auschwitz and after Co-having set up the international Center of education on Auschwitz and the Holocaust, Cywiński became the director of the place of memory and the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum.
