  • the castle of pionsat: The construction of the first castle of Pionsat goes back to the end of the 14th century, in the middle of the One hundred Year old War. In 1482, Jacques de Chazeron bought the ground of Pionsat and embellishes the castle. Its descendants, François and Antoine de Chazeron, had more imposing projects: the Renaissance castle was designed to be very vast, and its construction, if it had been completely concluded, would have probably made disappear the medieval fortress. Started about 1550, its construction stopped about 1610. It is an unfinished building which Charlotte de Chazeron transmitted to the Chabannes family by her marriage. Since 1920, the castle " Renaissance" , property of the Commune, is classified Historic building.
