Pionium
The pionium is a exotic Atome composed by a Méson π + and a meson π-. Such structures are generally created artificially by the interaction of a beam of Proton S striking a Atomic nucleus target in a Particle accelerator .
The pionium is the object of studies to CERN in order to measure its lifespan. The theory of the chiral Perturbation predicts it with 2,89 × 10-15 second. The confirmation or the invalidation of this prediction is an important test of the quantum Chromodynamique in the field of low energies.
