Pink of the desert
The Pink of the desert ( Adenium ) is a kind of Plante to flower S containing only one species, Adenium obesum , also called Baobab jackal , Sabi Star or Kudu . The plant is originating in Africa is and Arabia.
Description
The adenium is a succulent Plante with persistent foliage being able to measure up to 3 meters in height and whose trunk forms a Caudex.Its many small branches end in some large Feuille S fleshy, measuring from 5 to 15 cm of length and 1-8 cm broad laid out in spirals around the branches. They are difficult with densifier because each new sheet is accompanied by the fall by older (little sheet = little evaporation, it is a technique of survival in arid region).
Pinks or reds, its Fleur S with 5 petals in trumpet from 2 to 5 cm length, resemble those of the Plumeria appear in spring and the autumn.
Although it is not about a tree strictly speaking , one can make Adenium an imitation Bonsaï of interior.

Use
The Adenium is a popular House plant in the moderate areas.It needs a luminous site and temperatures of winter not going down under the 10 °C.
Like the Baobab tree, adenium created of water reserves at the base of the trunk and in hypertrophied roots which enable him to support well the dryness but less better the excess of moisture. It pushes with a watering of the type Xérique comparable with that of the Cactées but as soon as the spring temperatures exceed the 10°C the night, one will be able to leave the plant outside and to sprinkle it more especially as the temperatures increase. The Caudex filling of water to each watering, one can wait until the base of the trunk softened a little before D-sprinkling.
Although the bouturer can, the Adenium is generally multiplied by sowing because only the plants resulting from sowing have a caudex. Sowing must be practiced with fresh seeds (less than three months).
Like the pink Bay-tree, whose pink of the desert is relationship, the Sève, rich in Alcaloïde S, is toxic, to take care of good to wash the hands after the size.
