Pink Flamingos is an American film of John Waters, left in 1972. It is voluntarily a Film worship Trash with advising only with one informed public. Recognized as an allegory of the decline but whose rather incredible scenes divide criticism as well as the spectators, where Divine fight to be the person more immonde which is. The film is famous amongst other things for its final scene where it takes a shit of poodle in mouth as if it were about a greediness! (scene without faking!). This film is a monument of the cinema underground it was diffused with the scéances minuits in the United States. Only some films underground marked the spirits in the Seventies of which Pink Flamingos (1972), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) of Jim Sharman and the work of Andy Warhol " Chelsea Girl" (1966).

Synopsis

What follows reveals key moments of the intrigue.

The history proceeds in the Seventies in Phoenix (the United States).

Divine - which to hide police force prefers to be made call " Babs Johnson" - a caravan with his/her mother lives, who life only by love of eggs, his/her son (with the strange sexual practices) and his boyfriend. Together they carry out the quiet life, until the day when Divine is named by a magazine " the being moreover disgusting planète". At this point in time a rival family, Marbles, impressed jealousy, seek by all the means with détrôner Divine.

Marbles, to compete with Divine, set up a traffic of children: They kidnap and fertilize themselves the mothers (whom they keep captive in a cellar) for then reselling the babies with couples lesbians. Of course, the gained money is used to finance a selling network of dealers of heroin in the schools…

Divine, which finds this heretic attitude, ends up condemning them to dead to have wanted to steal its title to him and itself carries out them in front of journalists whom she warned.
