Pink cross-country race

Pink Cross is association Faîtière merry organizations in Suisse. It represents approximately 8.000 homosexual resulting from the four linguistic areas of the country through local associations, trade and members individual. It represents their interests compared to the policy, with the authorities and public space, and assumes the role of national interlocutor for all the questions referring to the male Homosexualité. Pink Cross engages for integration of merry in the company, in the plenitude of their rights and their dignity.

Organized in association, Pink Cross is financed exclusively by the contributions of its members like by gifts.

History

Pink Cross was founded the June 5th 1993, the national secretariat of Bern occupies a permanent employee since March 1994. The French secretariat with Lausanne was open in 1998 and occupies an employee with 40%.

Current

The law on the partnership, accepted in popular voting on June 5th, 2005, is the result of a stubborn engagement. For the next years, Pink Cross set the following goals: 1 - Extension of the penal standard antiracist (article 261 (a) of the CP) for a penal standard which protects from the discrimination based on the sexual orientation and the identity.

2 - Information in the schools about the sexual orientation, integration of the topic in the programs and the school handbooks.

3 - Décrispation of the situation on the work place. Sensitizing of the employers and the employees as well as their federations with the danger of the mobbing and the other damages likely to appear in bond with the sexual orientation.

4 - Exemplary engagement of official Switzerland for the human rights of merry and of the lesbians in the whole world. Pink Cross wants that Switzerland belongs to these countries which engage more for the merry ones and the lesbians.

5 - Improvement of the health of the merry men. Pink Cross initiates or supports measurements for the psychic and physical health of the homosexual men.

Pink Cross collaborates

Pink Cross works in.liaison.with the other national organizations who are the Swiss Organization of lesbians (LOS), the Association of the gay managers (Network) and the Association of the parents and friends the merry ones and lesbians (FELS).

Pink Cross works in close cooperation with regional associations and the groups which represent interests or professions private individuals.

Pink Cross is favorable to an health policy privileging an approach responsible for the AIDS and its social consequences by the authorities, the institutions and the private individuals. Reason for which it is also member of the Swiss Assistance against AIDS (ASS).

With the international plan, Pink Cross works in collaboration with International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA).
