Rose-Francoise-Gabrielle Dupuis was born with Poissy the March 7th 1791 and died with Saint-Pierre-the-Nemours on February 1st 1878.

She entered to the Comédie-Française on February 16th 1808 and became the 225e member in 1812. She took her retirement on April 1st 1835 to withdraw itself with Saint-Pierre-the-Nemours, surrounded by a small colony of actors, which liked to be found there:

  • his/her son Adolphe Dupuis
  • his daughter Eulalie, who also played theater and which became the woman of the actor Geffroy
  • his/her son-in-law Edmond Geffroy
  • the actor Bressant.

It is what explains why this small commune saw dying several actors of the Parisian scenes.

She died out itself there at the 87 years age, in 1878.

In 1830, it is in the Th3e4atre Fran1cais at the sides of M {{lle}} Mars, as Alexandre Dumas in tells it How I soothsayers dramatic author .

She is the mother of Adolphe Dupuis which she tries without success to dissuade to take the same route as she, at the end of its studies to the Lycée Chaptal (see Souvenirs of a man of letters of Alphonse Daudet).
