Pinerolese

The Pinerolese is an Italian wine of the area Piedmont equipped with a name DOC. since September 12th, 1996. Only to DOC. the wines collected inside the surface of production defined by the decree are entitled. The authorized vineyards are located in Province of Turin in the communes of Angrogna, Bibiana, Bobbio Pellice, Bricherasio, Buriasco, Campiglione-Fenile, Cantalupa, Cavour, Cumiana, Frossasco, Garzigliana, Inverso Pinasca, Luserna San Giovanni, Lusernetta, Macello, Osasco, Pinasca, Pinerolo, Perosa Argentina, Pomaretto, Porte Perrero, Pramollo, Prarostino, Roletto, Rorà , San Germano Chisone, San Pietro Valley Lemina, San Secondo di Pinerolo, Torre Pellice, Villar Pellice and Villar Perosa as well as the communes Bagnolo Piemonte and Barge in Province of Cuneo.

The most important type of vines are the Barbera, the Bonarda piemontese, the Freisa, the Dolcetto and the Neretto di Bairo. A speciality of name constitutes rare type of vines Avana, Avarengo and Doux of Henry.
