The mount Pinçon is the most point of the Département of the Apple-brandy in Normandy with an altitude of 362 meters. it is located at about thirty kilometers in the south-west of Caen, close to the village of the Plessis-Grimoult
It was the place of engagements and not strategic during the Bataille of Normandy with the allied attack at the time of the Opération Bluecoat. In 1953, TDF installed a transmitter there on a pylon of more than 200 meters in height, pylon which is always used for to diffuse television on the major part of Basse-Normandie.
