A pilseta is a subdivision of Latvia which represents a city. It has, generally, an attached rural territory. Centers of trade and exchange, they are connected between them by a network of bus and/or train.
The administrative structure is a little different from the Pagasts since broader. The name is also different dome whereas it is about Padome for the Novads and the pagasts.
